I’m Tekoah Boatner
Human-Centered Strategist & Culture Builder
Sustainable Growth for Mission-Driven Leaders
I help mission-driven leaders grow their organizations in ways that protect people, strengthen operations, and expand impact. With over two decades in nonprofit leadership and human services, I bring both the big-picture strategy and the on-the-ground experience to help you navigate change without losing sight of your values.
My approach is rooted in liberatory practices — meaning we design systems that are equitable, sustainable, and built for the real humans doing the work. Whether it’s rethinking your leadership structure, aligning your strategy with your mission, or building a culture where people thrive, I partner with you to make growth feel both possible and sustainable.

About Tekoah
I’m Tekoah, founder of TKB Strategies. I help mission-driven leaders grow their organizations in ways that protect people, strengthen operations, and expand impact. My work sits at the intersection of strategy, culture, and equity — creating liberatory systems where both missions and the humans behind them can thrive.
For over two decades, I’ve worked in nonprofit leadership, human services, and organizational development. I’ve led teams through rapid growth, complex change, and moments of crisis. I’ve stabilized organizations facing burnout and turnover, redesigned systems to center equity and care, and built strategies that last beyond a single funding cycle.
My approach is rooted in liberatory practices — meaning we look beyond quick fixes to design systems that are sustainable, values-aligned, and grounded in the realities of your work. I believe strategy is not just about where you’re going, but how you get there and who gets to lead along the way.
Why I do this work
I’ve seen firsthand how organizations can burn bright and burn out — especially when growth outpaces care for the people doing the work. I believe every leader deserves the tools, clarity, and culture to succeed without sacrificing themselves or their mission. My role is to walk alongside you, ask the hard questions, and co-create strategies that feel both ambitious and doable.
When I’m not working with clients, you’ll often find me speaking at conferences, writing about nonprofit growth and leadership, or creating resources that make strategy and culture-building accessible to all leaders, not just those with big budgets.
Let’s build something that lasts — and feels good to sustain.
How I Work
These guiding principles shape every engagement
1. Lead with Humanity
People are the heart of every strategy. We design approaches that prioritize well-being
2. Build for Sustainability
Short-term wins matter, but lasting change requires systems that can stand the test of time
3. Honor the People Doing the Work
Equity and respect are baked into every plan, process, and decision
4. Partner, Don’t Prescribe
Change sticks when it’s co-created. You bring the lived experience; I bring the strategy and tools.
Who I Work With
I partner with nonprofit and human service leaders who care as much about how they grow as how far they go. My clients are ready to make intentional changes, align their teams, and create systems that actually work in the real world — not just on paper.
Whether you’re leading through growth, navigating a leadership transition, or trying to create more capacity without burning out your team, I can help you get there.
